The Holkham Estate is embarking on the first major redevelopment of the Ancient House in over 100 years.

In 1885, London based architect Zephaniah King led a major programme of works which were carried out by James Rounce Builders of Blundeston near Lowestoft.

Today's programme of works are being led by Wymondham based architects Lucas Hickman Smith and Robson Construction of Wisbech have been appointed as contractors.

10 spacious, en suite rooms are being created to include 4 split level suites with an emphasis on comfort, quality and style. Guests will be able to relax in the peaceful and private walled rose garden whilst enjoying the benefits of wining & dining in the main hotel.

The Ancient House guest rooms will be opening to guests in Spring 2015.
